The youth of the Diocese are encouraged within their parishes to engage others in their local communities. Parish groups meet throughout the week and include youth choirs, youth groups, and Christian education programs. Special summer and weekend camps are designed to build self-esteem, expand horizons, teach leadership skills, and reaffirm Christian faith and identity within a region where Christians are a tiny minority within the surrounding Muslim and Jewish populations. These regional youth programs, which receive necessary diocesan support for travel and scholarships, are vital in strengthening relationships with other Anglican youth, who face daily mobility restrictions and lack of opportunity. In addition, exchange visits with youth in other countries encourage connections with youth abroad, as well as bonding within their home communities. Because our youth are the next generation of leaders, the Diocese invests in their schooling and formation, supporting them in becoming peacemaking citizens and witnesses of the Gospel.
