Archbishop Hosam Naoum launches the Christmas celebrations at the St. Luke’s Anglican Hospital in Nablus.

Archbishop Hosam Naoum, the Anglican Archbishop in Jerusalem and the Chair of the Church Council of the Episcopal Diocese of Jerusalem, announced the launching of the Christmas festivities at the St. Luke’s Anglican Hospital in Nablus today, December 13th, 2022. Dr. Walid Saba Kerry, the Rev’d Jamil M Khader and all the staff of the hospital were present at the lighting of the Christmas tree in the Hospital’s courtyard. Archbishop Naoum congratulated the Nation on Christmas, adding that although Christmas is one day, but love and friendship continues for all times, and shine in the sky of Nablus and the Country, expressing his pride in the Hospital, its director and staff.

Under the patronage of Archbishop Naoum, the hospital organised its annual dinner celebrating Christmas and the New Year. The governor of Nablus, Ibrahim Ramadan, congratulated Bishop Naoum and the family of the hospital on this occasion.

The lunch was attended by: her Excellency Dr. Mai Al Kileh, the Minister of Health, his Excellency Asem Salem, the Minister of Transport, Eng. Sami Higawi, the Mayor of Nablus, Brigadier General Muhammad Salameh, the Heads of the Security Services, Islamic Christian and Samaritan religious leaders, representatives of civic and health organisations, Dr. Ramiz Dweikat, the Director of the Health Services in Nablus, Dr. Bassam Suboh, the head of the licencing department at the Ministry of Health, staff from the Ministry of Health, members of the press, representatives of the Health Network, and the Hospital’s staff.

In the speeches, the role of the hospital and the Church were highlighted, emphasizing their positive impact on the country and the region, particularly in the fields of education and healthcare.
