Under the patronage of Bishop Hosam Naoum, the Anglican Archbishop in Jerusalem, The St. John’s Anglican schools celebrated the graduation of its 85th class of 8th graders in Haifa, on Friday June 17th, 2022. The graduating class had 74 students in it. Rev’d Canon Hatem Shehadeh, Rev’d Emad Daibas, Fr. Samer Zaknoun, Deacon Dr. Jeries Mansour, the Inspector of the Christian Schools, Adv. Fakher Badaiseh, the the General Director of the office of the Mayor of Haifa, Dr. Majed Khamra, the director of Haifa’s development office, Ms. Grace Salameh, the director of the school, the school’s Board of Directors, the Church’s vestry members, the administrative and educational faculties, and the graduates’ families attended the ceremony.
All present welcomed the graduates and the Archbishop’s procession, and then Rev’d Canon Hatem Shehadeh, gave his speech, in which he welcomed Bishop Naoum and all who are gathered, and prayed for St. John’s School, and all centers of education.
Speeches were also given by Deacon Manosur, Dr. Khamra, and Ms. Salameh. On behalf of St. John’s family, Ms. Salameh thanked Bishop Naoum for his continued support to the school’s vision and ministry. In the ceremony there were some artistic segments, a sketch based on the play “Shahrazad,” and a Palestinian Dabkeh. The graduates also gave speeches in Arabic, Hebrew, and English. The schools choir and musical ensemble performed a medley, that was led by Mr. Fadi Ghrayeb, and Ms. Elaine Najjar.
In his speech Bishop Naoum, the Chair of the Board of Directors and the Patron of the graduation, thanked Canon Shehadeh, Ms. Salameh, the administrative educational faculties, and all the staff for their love and dedication for the school, and for their efforts in the educational field. He then directed his words to the graduates telling them: “your graduation today is an important milestone for you, your parents and your school, it took you many years filled with hardwork to get to this important landmark. You should be proud of yourselves, and trust that what you have achieved academically is vital for your future. We are gathered here today to celebrate your success and achievements. So
congratulations
to you and to us on your success, and hardwork.”
رعى المطران حسام نعوم رئيس الأساقفة الأنچليكاني في القدس حفل توزيع الشهادات للفوج الخامس والثّمانين من خريجي صفّي الثّامن لمدرسة مار يوحنا الإنجيلي في حيفا الذين وصل عددهم إلى اربع وسبعين طالباً، مساء يوم الجمعة 17/6/2022 بحضور القس الكنن حاتم شحادة نائب رئيس مجلس الإدارة والقس عماد دعيبس والأب سامر زكنون والشماس الدكتور جريس منصور مفتش المدارس الكنسية والمحامي فاخر بدايسة مدير عام مكتب رئيسة بلدية حيفا والدكتور ماجد خمرة مدير وحدة النهوض في بلدية حيفا ومديرة المدرسة المربية غريس سلامة ومجلس الإدارة والعمدة الراعوية والهيئتين الإدارية والتدريسيّة وأهالي الطلاب.
استقبل الحضور موكب الخرّيجين وموكب رئيس الأساقفة ثم كلمة من الكنن حاتم شحادة الذي رحّب فيها بالمطران حسام نعوم وبجميع الحضور ورفع الصلاة والدعاء من أجل مدرسة مار يوحنا وجميع المعاهد التعليمية.
وكان هناك كلمة للمفتش الشماس جريس منصور وللدكتور ماجد خمرة وللمربية غريس سلامة التي بدورها شكرت باسم عائلة مار يوحنا المطران نعوم على رعايته ودعمه لرسالة وخدمة المدرسة. وتخلّل البرنامج عروض فنيّة من الخرّيجين مستوحاة من مسرحية شهرزاد، وقدموا الدبكة الفلسطينية، وكلمات الفوج باللغات العربيّة والعبريّة والإنجليزيّة. كما وقدّمت جوقة المدرسة وفرقتها الموسيقيّة مقطوعات غنائية بقيادة الأستاذ فادي غريب والمربية الين نجار.
وفي كلمة راعي الحفل ورئيس مجلس الإدارة المطران نعوم شكر سيادته الكنن شحادة والمربّية سلامة وجميع الطواقم الإدارية والتدريسيّة والموظّفين على محبّتهم للمدرسة وجهودهم في خدمة تربية وتعليم الطلاب. وخاطب سيادته الخرّيجين قائلاً: “تخرّجكم اليوم يُعتبر معلماً وإنجازاً كبيراً لكم ولأهاليكم ولمدرستكم، تطلّب الأمر سنوات طويلة، ولكنّها كانت مليئة بالمثابرة والجهد والتضحية لكي تصلوا إلى هذه اللحظة بالغة الأهمية. ينبغي لكم ان تفتخروا بأنفسكم وتثقوا أنّ ما أحرزتموه من درجات ومعرفة علميّة هو ثمين وحيويّ ونافع لكم في معترك الحياة التي أمامكم، فنحن نجتمع اليوم جميعاً لكي نحتفي بكم وبانجازاتكم وبنجاحكم، فهنيئاً لكم ولنا هذا النجاح والفلاح والكفاح”.
