Isaac Herzog, the president of Israel, visited the city of Nazareth, where he was welcomed at the Municipality by Mr. Ali Salam, the Mayor of Nazareth, who also accompanied him to a visit to the English Hospital in Nazareth on the sade day Tuesday 14/12/2021. On the occasion of the Christmas celebrations, Mr. Herzog visited the Greek Orthodox Church of the Annunciation, where he offered all Christians Christmas greetings.
Present to welcome him were Archbishop Hosam Naoum, the Anglican Archbishop in Jerusalem, Bishop Kyriakos, the Metropolitan of Nazareth and the Galilee, Fr. Rafic Nahra, the Patriarchal Vicar in Israel, Mr. Baseem Asfour, the President of the Orthodox Parish Board in Nazareth, and other clergy. In his speech Bishop Naoum prayed for peace, justice and peaceful coexistence between people from different faiths in the country. He also quoted two verses from the prophecy of Isaiah “Therefore the Lord himself will give you a sign. Look, the young woman is with child and shall bear a son, and shall name him Immanuel. (7.14.)” and “For a child has been born for us, a son given to us; authority rests upon his shoulders; and he is named Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. (9.6)” stating that both prophecies came true when Christ was born. He also wished all a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
قام رئيس دولة إسرائيل السيد اسحاق هرتسوغ بزيارة مدينة الناصرة حيث استقبله في دار البلدية السيد علي سلام رئيس بلدية الناصرة ورافقه في زيارة مستشفى الناصرة الانجليزي يوم الثلاثاء 14/12/2021.
وبمناسبة عيد الميلاد المجيد زار الرئيس هرتسوغ كنيسة البشارة الأرثوذكسية وهنأ المسيحيين بحلول العيد. كان في استقباله كل من سيادة المطران حسام نعوم رئيس الاساقفه الانجليكاني في القدس وسيادة المطران كيريوس كيرياكوس متروبوليت الناصرة وسائر الجليل وقدس الاب رفيق نهرا النائب البطريركي للاتين في اسرائيل والاستاذ بسيم عصفور رئيس مجلس الطائفه الارثوذكسيه في الناصره ورجال الدين المسيحي والإسلامي. وفي كلمته رفع المطران نعوم صلاة من أجل السلام والعدالة والتعايش السلمي بين الديانات في البلاد. وردّد آيتين من نبوءة إشعياء “هَا ٱلْعَذْرَاءُ تَحْبَلُ وَتَلِدُ ٱبْنًا وَتَدْعُو ٱسْمَهُ «عِمَّانُوئِيلَ»” (14:7)، “لِأَنَّهُ يُولَدُ لَنَا وَلَدٌ وَنُعْطَى ٱبْنًا، وَتَكُونُ ٱلرِّيَاسَةُ عَلَى كَتِفِهِ، وَيُدْعَى ٱسْمُهُ عَجِيبًا، مُشِيرًا، إِلَهًا قَدِيرًا، أَبًا أَبَدِيًّا، رَئِيسَ ٱلسَّلَامِ”. (9:6) وأشار أنّهما قد تحقّقتا بميلاد الرب يسوع المسيح. هذا وتمنى للجميع عيد ميلاد سعيد وسنة جديدة مباركة.
