Archbishop Hosam Naoum, the Anglican Archbishop in Jerusalem, presided over the Diocesan Synod (Majma) of the Episcopal Diocese of Jerusalem for the year 2021. Which was held via Zoom from the morning of Monday November 8th, until the evening of Wednesday November 10th, 2021. The theme for the Majma this year was “I came that they may have life, and have it abundantly.
(John 10.10b).” The Majma included morning and evening prayers, hymns, meditations, Archbishop Hosam Naoum’s spiritual, pastoral, and administrative reports, the Majma’ Secretary’s report, and the approval of the minutes of meeting of the Majma of 2019, and the meetings of the Standing Committee for the year of 2020, since there was no Majma in 2020 due to the Pandemic. The Majma approved as well the Audited Budget of 2019 and 2020, and after some amendments approved the Estimated Budget for 2022. Also during the Majma all the video reports that were received by the Diocesan offices from parishes, institutions and the youth ministry were viewed. Finally the reports from the Diocesan property committees were presented and discussed. After the final evening prayer and meditation, Bishop Naoum thanked all the members of the Majma, both clergy and vestry representatives, and the heads of the institutions present, and then he concluded the Majma with a blessing.
عقدت مطرانية القدس الأنچليكانية الأسقفية دورة المجمع الكنسي لعام 2021 عبر منظومة الزووم برئاسة المطران حسام نعوم رئيس الأساقفة الأنچليكاني في القدس، من صباح يوم الإثنين 8/11 حتى مساء يوم الأربعاء 10/11 تحت شعار “وأَمَّا أَنَا فَقَدْ أَتَيْتُ لِتَكُونَ لَهُمْ حَيَاةٌ وَلِيَكُونَ لَهُمْ أَفْضَلُ” (يوحنا 10:10ب).
تخلّل المجمع صلوات الصباح والمساء والترانيم والتأملات اليومية، تقرير رئيس المجمع المطران حسام نعوم الروحي والراعوي والإداري، وتقرير أمين سر المجمع، المصادقة على وقائع مجمع عام 2019، ووقائع اجتماعات العمدة العاملة عام 2020 لعدم انعقاد دورة المجمع بسبب الجائحة، كما وصادق أعضاء المجمع على ميزانيتي عام 2019 وعام 2020 المدقّقتين، وتمّ قبول الموازنة التقديرية لعام 2022 بعد التعديلات المطلوبة. وتمّ أيضا عرض جميع تقارير الرعايا والمؤسسات وخدمة الشبيبة المصوّرة التي كان قد تمّ إرسالها إلى مكاتب المجمع ثمّ تقديم ومناقشة تقارير لجان الأملاك في المطرانية. بعد صلاة المساء الختامية والتأمل الروحي، شكر المطران نعوم جميع الأعضاء الرعاة ومندوبي الرعايا ومدراء المؤسسات واختتم دورة المجمع بمنحه البركة الرسولية.
