Under the patronage of Archbishop Hosam Naoum, the Anglican Archbishop in Jerusalem, The Episcopal Technological and Vocational Training Centre (ETVTC) in Ramallah celebrated the graduation of thirty four participants of different ages from the culinary course on Wednesday October 6th, 2021. Rev’d Fadi Diab, Sister Najah Rantisi, Mr. Giovanni Anbar, the Head of the Centre, Mr. Munjed Alhuseini, Mr. Iyad Rafidi, the head of the Episcopal Anglican School in Ramallah, Mr. Yousef Shilan, a representative from the Lutheran Word Federation (LWF), and members of the Board of Directors were present.


The ETVTC in association with the LWF, and with the financial support from the Thabiri program, which is funded by the Canadian government, held two culinary courses, the first was for a group of ladies and lasted for eight month. While the second, was for young adults, and lasted for a year. All participants graduated with a Diploma in Culinary Arts.

The aim of this initiative is to help ladies, and young adults find job opportunities.

Bishop Naoum addressed the graduates saying: “this graduation is like a harvest, and it coincides with the harvest of olives. Today your are harvesting the fruits of your hard work, but just like with Olive trees, you will Harvest more fruits each year.” Bishop Naoum mentioned that olive trees are symbols of perseverance, endurance and giving.

Bishop Naoum thanked the ETVTC family, and all who supported this program. And wished the graduates a blessed and successful career.

المركز الأسقفي للتكنولوجيا والتدريب المهني في رام الله يحتفل بتخريج مجموعة من الشباب والشابات والسيدات تحت رعاية المطران حسام نعوم، يوم الأربعاء ٠٦/ ١٠/ ٢٠٢١
رعى سيادة رئيس الأساقفة الأنچليكاني في القدس المطران حسام نعوم حفل تخريج اربع وثلاثين شاباً وشابةً وسيدات من دورة الطهي في المركز الأسقفي للتكنولوجيا والتدريب المهني في رام الله، يوم الأربعاء ٠٦/ ٠٧/ ٢٠٢١، بحضور القس فادي دياب والأخت نجاح رنتيسي ومدير المركز السيد جوڤاني عنبر والأستاذ منجد الحسيني والاستاذ اياد رفيدي مدير المدرسة الإنجيلية الأسقفية في رام الله وممثل الإتحاد اللوثري السيد يوسف شليان ومجلس الإدارة.
أقام المركز الأسقفي بالتعاون مع الإتحاد اللوثري العالمي وبدعم مالي من برنامج ثابري المموَّل من الحكومة الكندية، دورتان في الطهي، واحدة للسيدات لثمانية شهور وأخرى للشباب والشابات لمدة سنة كاملة، حيث يحصل جميع الطالبات والطلاب على شهادة دبلوم في الطهي. وهدف هذه المبادرات هو خلق فرص عمل خاصة للسيدات والشباب.
قال المطران نعوم في كلمته للخريجين: “هذا التخريج هو حصاد، ويتزامن مع حصاد وقطف الزيتون، وأنتم تقطفون اليوم الثمار ولكنكم كأشجار الزيتون ستحصدون ثماراً في كل عام” كما وأشار أنّ شجرة الزيتون هي رمز المثابرة والصمود والعطاء.
شكر المطران نعوم أسرة المركز الأسقفي المهني وجميع الذين تعاونوا ودعموا هذا البرنامج. وفي الختام تمنّى للخريجين حياة مهنية ناجحة وموفقة في سوق العمل الفلسطيني.
