The Primates of the Anglican Communion completed their pilgrimage in Jordan at the Moses Memorial Church at Mt. Nebo Jordan. The Anglican Primates who remained in Jordan travelled to Hlid Salt Jordan. Archdeacon Luay Haddad and Fr. Wadie N. Far were great hosts, describing the outreach work done supporting Syrian and Iraqi refugees, and introducing us to the amazing staff and students of the school, particularly the deaf-blind unit. The primates were shown great hospitality by students and staff alike including in sharing lunch altogether.

After crossing over the Jordan, the Archbishop of Canterbury and four other representative Primates joined Archbishop Suheil in an official visit to the Church of the Holy Sepulchre, where they were greeted by Archbishop Aristarchos of the Greek Orthodox Church. Together they visited both the Chapel of Calvary and the Empty Tomb and offered Prayers of Thanksgiving for Christ's sacrificial death and glorious Resurrection, as well as for the peace of Jerusalem and the entire world.

On this last business day of the Primates Meeting, Archbishop Suheil shared with the assembly some of the challenges that the Diocese of Jerusalem faces in its ministry within the Holy Land. We also listened to other Archbishops tell chilling stories of persecution against Christians within their Provinces, as well as the heavy-handed governmental oppression of their churches. Please continue to keep the Persecuted Church in your prayers
