Archbishop Suheil, Bishop Hosam, and Director Ibrahim Faltas welcomed the Honorable Sven Kühn von Burgsdorff, the newly appointed Representative of the European Union, to the Jerusalem Princess Basma Centre on the Mount of Olives. There, he received a tour of the Centre's state-of-the-art rehabilitation facilities that annually serve more than 1,300 children with disabilities, including 173 students (38%) who are also part of the attached Inclusive School. Afterwards, the group discussed the many funding challenges facing the Centre because of the Coronavirus Pandemic, which has led to a shortfall of charitable contributions that normally comprise about 30% of JPBC's budget. Please keep the Centre's ministry in your prayers and also consider making a personal or institutional donation in support their crucial work with these needy children and their families!

The Primates of the Anglican Communion completed their pilgrimage in Jordan at the Moses Memorial Church at Mt. Nebo Jordan. The Custodia Terræ Sanctæ are responsible for the site and we were generously led on the tour by the Custos himself, Francesco Patton, along with Fr. Raffaele Caputo. The primates spent time together in prayer, particularly for those primates who will be retiring before the next gathering.

The Anglican Primates who remained in Jordan travelled to Hlid Salt Jordan. Archdeacon Luay Haddad and Fr. Wadie N. Far were great hosts, describing the outreach work done supporting Syrian and Iraqi refugees, and introducing us to the amazing staff and students of the school, particularly the deaf-blind unit. The primates were shown great hospitality by students and staff alike including in sharing lunch altogether.

As a final liturgical act together, the Archbishop of Canterbury today led the Primates and other members of the congregation in a very moving Renewal of Baptism Vows on the banks of the flooded River Jordan. It was followed by a celebration of Holy Eucharist. The week and the liturgy set a very positive spirit of Christian renewal and commitment for the Primates in the lead-up to this summer's Lambeth Conference.
