The Archbishop met members of the Redeemer Church in Amman and hosted a lunch at the Guest House, before a service of the Holy Communion in the Cathedral.
On Friday, 17th June 2016, women from across the region (Palestine, Jerusalem and Israel) gathered at Jenin. The Archbishop led a Bible Study; there was worship and lunch; and a visit to Burqin Church (cf.Luke 17.11-19).
On 12 June 2016 the Archbishop preached and presided at a service at St John the Baptist’s church, Husan, Jordan; he also met the Pastoral Committee and visited the new kindergarten at Husan.
Archbishop Suheil Dawani conducted two Confirmation Services at the Church of the Redeemer in Amman, one for the English Speaking Congregation and one for the Arabic speaking congregation. The Reverend Canon Faeq Haddad, The Reverend Deacon Fares Naoum and the Reverend Malcolm Forrest, also attended.
The Archbishop preached and presided at the Easter Service at two packed services at the Church of the Redeemer, Amman. Due to the differences between the Easter and Western Church calander, many churches in the Diocese chose to follow the Eastern Calendar to celebrate Easter.
Archbishop Suheil met with the Society of St. John the Evangelist Brothers (Cowley Brothers) and the Fellowship of Saint John.
At the annual Chrism Mass, local clergy from the Diocese gathered at St George’s Cathedral to renew their ordination vows, the blessing of the oils, and the Eucharist. The service was followed by a Lenten lunch. The Archbishop preached and presided.

Under the patronage of his beatitude the Archbishop Suheil Dawani, and the Minister for Jerusalem Affairs, Mr. Adnan Al-Husseini, Sheikh Azzam Al Khatib General Manager Administration of Islamic Affairs and Al-Aqsa Mosque and a Representative from the Jordanian Embassy the Jerusalem Princess Basma Center celebrated the opening of the newly renovated Princess Basma Kindergarten.
On 14th March Archbishop Suheil met Bishop Richard Cheetham and Sheikh Ibrahim who were leading the Sharing Perspectives’ Course at St. George’s College. Sharing Perspectives is a course run a the college for Christian and Muslims from the UK.
On March 8th , Archbishop Suheil met with Peter Rand, Vice Chair of the Friends of Holy land (FHL), Rev. Lynn Boyle, Vicar of the Diocese of Chester and FHL representative and her husband Michael Boyle. Mr Rand, Rev Boyle and Mr Boyle accompanied Sawsan Aranki-Batato, the Diocesan Programs Development Officer, Ramallah to visit the Medical Centre and the Arab Evangelical School . The Archbishop expressed his thanks to FHL for all their help in the Diocese, particularly their help with Saint Luke’s hospital, Nablus,; the Medical centre as well as the Arab Evangelical School in Ramallah.
Archbishop Suhail Dawani visited St. Matthew's Episcopal Church- Zababdeh. The Archbishop preached and presided at a wonderful service. After that, the Archbishop met the congregation in Church Hall and toured the Penman Clinic.
Archbishop Suheil greets Anba Antonias Metropolitan of Jerusalem and the Near East for the Coptic Orthodox Church at Jaffa Gate with the fellow Heads of Churches.
Archbishop Suheil met with the Reverend Brian Jolly, chair of Embrace Middle East, and Mr Jeremy Moody, CEO of Embrace Middle East. The Archbishop expressed, on behalf of the Diocese, his gratitude to Embrace Middle East for the support it provides to Diocesan institutions and parishes.
The Archbishop visited St Peter’s Church, Beirzit, where he inspected the construction of St Peter’s House. It is hoped that St Peter’s House will on completion provide a space for the community to meet as well as provide sheltered housing for the elderly and students from Beirzit University. The Archbishop then preached and presided at a Eucharist in St Peter’s Church. Members of the community were present, along with Reverend Fadi Diab and the Reverend Canon David Longe.
At the beginning of the week for Christian Unity in Jerusalem, Christians met and worshipped at St George-the-Martyr Cathedral in Jerusalem. Archbishop Suheil preached and hosted a reception following the service in the Guest House. The Olive branches Choir sang an anthem and number of hymns.
The Archbishop visited Al Ahli Arab Hospital in Gaza. The Archbishop met the director Suhaila Tarazi and the Dr Maher Ayyad and opened the new Mamogram in the Diagnostics Centre. The Diocese are working to make Al Ahli Arab hospital an oncology centre. He also toured the hospital visiting patients and staff and celebrated the Eucharist in the Hospital chapel.
The Diocesan clergy gathered at St George’s College for their annual retreat led by the Very Reverend Canon Dr Gregory Jenks, Dean of St George’s College.
