Under the patronage of His Grace AB Suheil Dawani, the parish of Emmanuel Anglican Church in Ramleh celebrated the Diocesan Feast of Thanksgiving, Sunday, 11 October 2015. As part of this annual celebration, the parish also inaugurated the rehabilitated section of the church facility and premises.

“May this place continue to be a place of peace, prayer and reconciliation for all people in this land”, said AB Suheil during his sermon about the church and hall.

Members and dignitaries of the community, as well members of the parish, head of churches in Ramleh, including Orthodox and Catholic committees participated in the rededication celebrations. Among the present were also Reverend Bayouk Bayouk, previous Parish Priest, and Reverend Na’el Abu Rahmoun, Parish Priest of Christ Church of Nazareth.

Following the celebration of the Holy Eucharist, parishioners and guests were invited for a dinner and fellowship gathering sponsored by The Reverend Canon Samuel Fanous, Parish Priest, and the Parish Committee members.

In His speech, Reverend Fanous thanked all of those who have stood by the parish since the inception of the renovation phases. “We praise God for the completion of this project and extend our most heartfelt thanks to all our friends namely the American Friends of the Episcopal Diocese of Jerusalem, Mt. View Presbyterian Church, Scottsdale Arizona, Calgary Canada, and Talahasi, Florida who have sustained us through prayers, moral and financial support. Without their support, this project would not have been possible.”
