The celebrations of the Easter Vigil, and Easter Day at the Church of the Redeemer in Amman according to the Eastern Calendar.

Bishop Hosam Naoum, the Anglican Archbishop in Jerusalem, presided over the liturgical celebrations for the Easter Vigil according to the Eastern Calendar on Saturday Evening April 15th, 2023, at the Church of the Redeemer in Jabal Amman. The Holy Fire that arrived to Jordan from the Tomb of Christ at the Holy Sepulchre in Jerusalem was received by the clergy and the congregation. Bishop Naoum was assisted by Rev’d Canon Faeq Haddad, the Rector of the parish, and a group of Diocesan Clergy from Jordan, and the service was attended by parishioners from Jabal Amman, and other parishes from Jordan.

During the service and after the renewal of the Baptismal Vows, Bishop Naoum blessed water and aspereged the people with it.

Bishop Hosam Naoum also celebrated Easter at the Church of the Redeemer in Jabal Amman, where he presided over both Easter Day services on Sunday Morning April 16th, 2023. He was assisted by Rev’d Canon Faeq Haddad, the Rector of the parish, who welcomed Bishop Naoum and his family, and other clergy. Bishop Naoum conveyed greetings from Jerusalem the city of the Empty Tomb, to all present. In his sermon, he talked about the Living Hope. Bishop Naoum also offered prayers and greetings to His Majesty King Abdullah II, his Crown Prince, the Hashemite Family, and the Jordanian and Arab Families on the occasions of Easter, and the approaching of Eid Alfitar.
