Archbishop Hosam Naoum visits the Palestinian President and invites him to the Christmas Eve Service in Bethlehem.

His Grace Bishop Hosam Naoum, the Anglican Archbishop in Jerusalem, visited His Excellency Mahmoud Abbas – Abu Mazen, the Palestinian President, at the Palestinian Authority’s Headquarters in Ramallah on Saturday December 17th, 2022. Dr. Ramzi Khoury, the head of the Presidential Higher Committee for Church Affairs in Palestine, was also present to welcome his Grace. Bishop Naoum was accompanied by Rev’d Canon Wadie Far, the Archbishop’s Assistant, and Rev’d Fadi Diab, the rector of St. Andrew’s Church in Ramallah and the General Secretary of the Majma.

President Abbas and Bishop Naoum discussed many topics, amongst them the current situation in the County, and the role of the Churches in supporting peace and justice. Bishop Naoum handed the Palestinian President an official letter inviting him to the Christmas Eve service that is held at the St. George’s Orthodox Church at the Church of the Nativity in Bethlehem.
