The Orthodox and Eastern Orthodox Church leaders received congratulations on the occasion of Easter.

Bishop Hosam Naoum, The Anglican Archbishop in Jerusalem, offered Easter greetings for the Feast of the Resurrection according to the Julian Eastern calendar, along with a number of Heads of Churches in Jerusalem and clergy. He was accompanied by Rev’d Canon Wadia Far and Rev’d Canon Richard Sewell, and theology students Mr. Saba Kerry and Mr. Khaled Dally. This took place on Tuesday morning, April 18, 2023, first at the Greek Orthodox Patriarchate, where they were welcomed by his Beatitude Patriarch Theophilus III, the Greek Orthodox Patriarch of the Holy City of Jerusalem, who then greeted the bishops and priests and congratulated them on the occasion of Easter.

Bishop Naoum and the attending bishops and representatives of the churches also shared Easter greetings.

Later, Bishop Naoum and the accompanying delegation, in the presence of Bishop Mar Yacoub Ephram, the Patriarchal Vicar for the Syriac Catholic in Jerusalem, visited Patriarchal Vicar for the Syriac Orthodox Church, Bishop Mar Antimous Jack Yakoub, Bishop of the Diocese of Jerusalem, Jordan, and the Holy Land, at St. Mark’s Monastery in Jerusalem. There, they exchanged Easter greetings and discussed the holiday season and current situations.
