A service of Lessons and Carols at the YMCA’s Shepherds’ Field in Beit Sahour.

Bishop Hosam Naoum, the Anglican Archbishop in Jerusalem, officiated over a service of Christmas Lessons and Carols at the YMCA’s Shepherds’ Field in Beit Sahour on Saturday December 24th, 2022. Bishop Sani Ibrahim Azar, the Lutheran Bishop in Jordan and the Holy Land, Rev’d Canon Don Binder, Very Rev’d Canon Richard Sewell, Rev’d Canon Wadie Far, and Rev’d Munther Ishaq participated in the service. Mr. Peter Nasser, the General Secretary of the YMCA in Palestine, Mr. Simon Kuba, the Chair of the YMCA’s Board of Directors, YMCA staff, and members of the Lutheran Shepherds Scouts group were present in the congregation.

Bishop Naoum gave a homily about Christmas and about the good news the angels shared with the shepherds about the birth of the Saviour.
