Diocesan Clergy, Staff, and the Heads of the Institutions Congratulate Archbishop Hosam Naoum on Christmas.

The Bishop’s House in Jerusalem was filled with joy while his Grace Bishop Hosam, the Anglican Archbishop in Jerusalem, and Mrs. Rafa Qafiti Naoum, his wife, welcomed Diocesan Clergy, Heads of Institutions and Staff and their spouses from Palestine and Israel on Friday evening, December 16th, 2022. Bishop Naoum welcomed all in attendance and congratulated them on the coming of Christmas. He talked about the Baby of the Manger, who was put in a manger, where animals are fed, and he gave himself as sustenance for us, for he is the Bread that came down from Heaven. He also thanked the clergy, staff, and Heads of institutions for their role in the advancement of the ministry of the Diocese. Mrs. Naoum thanked all for their attendance and congratulated them all on the Feast of Christmas. Rev’d Canon Fuad Dagher led the singing of Christmas Carols and then presented a speech in Arabic, while Rev’d Canon Don Binder gave one in English on behalf of the clergy. Other speeches were presented on behalf of the staff and heads of institutions, thanking Bishop and Mrs. Naoum for their invite, and emphasised their feeling of being a part of the Diocesan family.

After gifts were presented, Archdeacon Samuel Barhoum blessed the food. And later the evening was concluded by taking pictures near the Christmas tree.

May the blessings of the Baby of the Manger be with all our clergy, parishes, and institutions so that they all may live the joy and peace of the Nativity.
