The Holy Land Institute for the Deaf and Deaf-blind (HLID) celebrates the graduation of its 58th class for the school year 2021/2022, under the patronage of Bishop Hosam Naoum, the Anglican Archbishop in Jerusalem, on Thursday May 19th, 2022. Archdeacon Luay Haddad, the General Director of the Institute, members of the Board of Directors, administrative and educational faculties, parents of the graduates, and members of the friends of the Institution “Allah Kareem” attended the graduation. The celebration commences with the Jordanian National Anthem, and with words of welcome from Mrs. Iman Dababneh, the Director of the School.
The graduate Mutasem Al Hamadieh presented the students speech, a special speech was given as well by the Deaf-blind graduate Muhammad Samha. During the graduation the students presented a traditional dabka and a song in sign language called “we can do it.” In his speech Bishop Naoum congratulated the graduates, their families, and the family of the institute, wishing them a bright future. Bishop Naoum also thanked the General Director, both academic and administrative faculties, and all the employees of the institute for their continued love and sacrifice in the service of the institute and its students. Archdeacon Haddad called up to the stage those who were honored by Bishop Naoum the chair of the Board of Directors.
In this ceremony, students from the kindergarten, the vocational school and the High School were graduated. This ceremony was made special by the graduation of Muhammad Samha, who is the first Deaf-blind to graduate in the Middle East, also during the graduation Archbishop Naoum announced his employment in the Institute were he has been a student for many years.
A memorial gift was given to Bishop Naoum, a Communion Set made in the institution’s vocational department.
On the side of the graduation Archbishop Naoum, and Archdeacon Haddad met with the trustees of “Allah Kareem,” who are friends and supporters of the Institute. In the meeting an agreement was reached to renew and foster their support to the Institute.

رئيس الأساقفة حسام نعوم يرعى حفل تخرّج الفوج الثامن والخمسين لمؤسّسة الأراضي المقدّسة للصّم والصّم كفيف يوم الخميس 19/5/2022
إحتفلت مؤسّسة الأراضي المقدّسة للصّم والصّم كفيف في السّلط – الأردن بحفل تخريج الفوج الثّامن والخمسين للسّنة الدّراسيّة 2021/2022 تحت رعاية رئيس الأساقفة الأنچليكاني في القدس المطران حسام نعوم وذلك يوم الخميس 19/5/2022، بحضور مدير عام المؤسّسة الأرشديكون لؤي حداد وأعضاء من مجلس الإدارة والطواقم الإداريّة والتربويّة والمهنيّة، وأهالي الخرّيجين، وكذلك أعضاء جمعيّة “الله كريم” أصدقاء المؤسّسة. مع نشيد السّلام الملكيّ بدأ الإحتفال، ورحّبت مديرة المدرسة المربّية ايمان دبابنة بالضيوف والحضور. قدّم الطالب معتصم الحمايدة كلمة الخرّيجين وكذلك كلمة خاصة من الطالب الأصم الكفيف محمد سمحة. تخلّل الحفل فقرتان فنيّتان: الأولى، كانت عرض لدبكة وطنيّة على أنغام “نعشق شيباته” والثانية، أغنية بلغة الإشارات بعنوان “قادرين نعملها”. بكلمته هنّأ المطران نعوم الخريجين والأهالي وأسرة المؤسّسة بمناسبة التّخرج، وتمنّى لهم دوام التقدّم والنجاح، كما وشكر المدير العام وجميع الهيئات الإداريّة والتربويّة وجميع الموظفين على محبّتهم وعطائهم في خدمة المؤسّسة وطلبتها. هذا ودعا الأرشديكون حداد على المنصّة الأشخاص الذين تمّ تكريمهم من قبل المطران نعوم رئيس مجلس الإدارة.
شمل حفل التخريج صف التمهيدي والقسم المهني والثانويّة العامّة – التوجيهي. وتميّز حفل هذا العام، بتخرّج الطالب الأصم الكفيف محمد سمحة، الذي يكون أوّل خرّيج في الشرق الأوسط من شريحة الصم المكفوفين، وفي نفس الحفل أعلن مباشرة رئيس الأساقفة، توظيفه في نفس المؤسّسة التي احتضنته لسنوات عديدة.
وتمّ تقديم هديّة تذكارية للمطران عبارة عن الكأس والصحن، أواني القداس من صنع مشغل السيراميك في المؤسّسة.
وعلى هامش الحفل، اجتمع المطران نعوم بحضور الأرشديكون حداد مع وفد مجلس أمناء “الله كريم” أصدقاء وداعمي خدمة المؤسّسة، حيث تمّ التفاهم والاتفاق على تجديد الثّقة والتعاون والدعم.
