The installation of two Canons at the Cathedral Church of Saint George the Martyr in Jerusalem on Sunday 20/3/2022
Archbishop Hosam Naoum, the Anglican Archbishop in Jerusalem, presided over the Eucharist on the Third Sunday in Lent on March 20, 2022. After Bishop Naoum’s sermon, Rev’d Wadie N. Far, the vicar for the Arabic-speaking Congregation at the Cathedral was installed as Residential Canon of Bethlehem. Also, Rev’d Philip A. Jackson, the Rector of Trinity Church Wall Street, was installed as Honorary Canon of Nazareth.
Bishop Naoum presented a Jerusalem cross to both Canons.
Other Canons from the Cathedral Chapter, members of both the Arabic and English speaking congregations, and a group of pilgrims attended the installation.
We pray for the ministry of Rev’d Canon Wadie N. Far and Rev’d Canon Philip A. Jackson and all the Canons of the Cathedral in Jerusalem.
تنصيب قسّيسان قانونيّان في كاتدرائية القديس جورج الشهيد في القدس يوم الأحد 20/3/2022
ترأس رئيس الأساقفة الأنجليكاني في القدس المطران حسام نعوم خدمة قداس الأحد الثالث من الصوم في كاتدرائية القديس جورج الشهيد في القدس صباح اليوم الأحد 20/3/2022. بعد العظة التي قدمّها المطران نعوم، تمّ تنصيب القس وديع نصري الفار كاهن الرعيّة العربية في الكاتدرائية قسّاً قانونيّاً مُقيماً (كنن مقيم)على كرسي بيت لحم، والقس فيليب أ. جاكسون كاهن كنيسة الثالوث الأقدس وول ستريت نيويورك قسّاً قانونيّاً فخريّاً (كنن فخري) على كرسي الناصرة.
قدّم المطران نعوم صليب القدس لكلا القانونيين الجديدين.
تمّ التنصيب بحضور قانونيين آخرين ورعيّتي الكاتدرائية العربية والأجنبية بالإضافة إلى مجموعات من الحجّاج.
نصلّي من أجل خدمة كلّ من القس الكنن وديع الفار والقس الكنن فيليب جاكسون وجميع القانونيين أعضاء مجلس الكاتدرائية في القدس.
