Archbishop Hosam Naoum visits the Near East School of Theology in Beirut.

Archbishop Hosam Naoum, the Anglican Archbishop in Jerusalem, visited the Near East School of Theology in Beirut on Thursday December 2nd, 2021. On his visit he was accompanied by his wife Mrs. Rafa Naoum, Archdeacon Imad Zorob, Rev’d Canon Don Binder, and Rev’d Canon Fuad Dagher. Dr. George Sabra, the President and Academic Dean, welcomed the delegation, and congratulated Bishop Naoum on his installation several months ago. In the meeting they discussed many topics, amongst them were the partnership between the College and the Diocese of Jerusalem, future joint ministry, and the role of the Diocese in supporting the College by sending new seminarians. They also discussed the expansion of the College’s ministry, it is worth mentioning that the Diocese also has a role in the administration of the College.

Bishop Naoum shared with the group his plans for Theological education for women in the Diocese, to empower them to further participate in ministry. He explained that the College will play a role in bringing this plan to life.
