This Sunday, 15th May, the Archbishop celebrated the Feast of Pentecost at St. George’s cathedral, which was overflowing with many pilgrims from across the world, as well as the Congregations from Palestine and Israel. This follows the annual tradition of the in-gathering of Clergy and Parishioners from across the Land of the Holy One at the commemoration of the ‘birthday of the church’ in Jerusalem, the city where the first Pentecost took place. It was a day of celebration, with two choirs, one English and one Arabic speaking, and a meal for the whole congregation was held at St. George’s School afterwards, where songs of worship and praise were sung during lunch.
