On Advent Sunday, Archbishop Suheil confirmed Andre Stephany and Mathias Kissel.
Andre is an ordinand from the Diocese of Europe, currently studying in the Ecumenical Programme at the Abbey of the Dormition.
Mathias Kissel is of Palestinian and German ancestry, grew up on a Lutheran background in Germany and has recently, after having graduated with a master´s degree, both in church music and in theology, been ordained in the Protestant Church in Basel, Switzerland.
The service was attended by the friends and families of the candidates as well as parishioners from St Mark’s Parish, Regents Park, London, whose Vicar, the Reverend Canon William Gulliford, is the Director of Ordinands for the Diocese of Europe.
