Archbishop Suheil Dawani travelled to visit his Diocese in Lebanon the weekend of Sunday 6 December 2015. He was also accompanied by his wife Shafeeqa who leads the Diocesan women’s ministry, Arch- Deacon Luay Haddad from Jordan and Revd Canon Victor Diab and his wife Leila. Archbishop Suheil visited All Saints’ Episcopal Church on the second Sunday of Advent and presided at the Eucharist with Reverend Imad Zoorob, the Rector of All Saints’ in a joint service with the Arabic congregation and the English-Speaking Congregation.

During the service, Archbishop Suheil announced that David Roche, a CMS Mission Partner and ordinand assisting with leading the International Congregation would enter a period of preparation in the New Year with a view an ordination.

After the service, a celebration was held where Archbishop Suheil was invited to cut a cake prepared by both congregations. During his visit to Lebanon, Archbishop Suheil also visited St. Luke’s Centre for Children with Special Needs over seen by Reverend Zoorob and staff at the Centre. The children were able to enjoy the visit by showing the Archbishop what they had been learning in classes and their preparations for the St. Luke’s Christmas event later this month.

The Archbishop had a meeting with Reverend Fadi Dagher and Reverend Suheil Saoud from the Presbyterian Church, where His Grace discussed with them the issue of our floors at Near East School of Theolodgy (NEST) being all as partners in the mentioned school. After that, we had a brief meeting with its President, Dr. George Sabra. Then the Archbishop, the Archdeacon Luay and myself paid a non-expected visit to Father Andwich Institution in luaizy, where we saw Archdeacon Luay sign-spoke with some deaf children.
