Jerusalem – 26 June 2010 Bishop Suheil Dawani greeted a delegation from the Interreligious Action Center based in Los Angeles.

The delegation was led by Rabbi Mark Diamond, Executive Vice-President of the Board of Rabbis of Southern California. The group was made up of Jewish, Muslim and Christian religious and academic leaders. Bishop Suheil welcomed the delegation and provided an orientation to the group of the ministry of the Diocese and its 27 parishes and 35 institutions of education and health care. The Bishop outlined the important ministry throughout the area, including Jordan, Lebanon, Syria, Palestine, Gaza and Israel. Bishop Suheil emphasized the importance of pastoral care, education and health care as foundation stones for maintaining and improving relationships among all people in the region.
