In an area where preaching the gospel with words is very sensitive and sometimes dangerous, the Church needs to find alternative ways of spreading the Good News. Here Christianity is not about preaching, it is about doing! This is why our diocese has developed a large number of ministry institutions, especially in the field of education and healthcare.

Education is the cornerstone for reconciliation. At our educational institutions, we teach Christians and Muslims Christian values, as well as awareness of each other, of citizenship, human rights, tolerance, peace and justice.

In an area were Christians are more and more vanishing, our educational ministries are a strong witness of Christian presence. They are well recognized. Without them, we would have to give away a big part of our recognition as Christians. In a sense, we would become more vulnerable. As a minority, we would receive less attention and support within the local society.
